Policies

The policies section of the Cloud Settingsllows the user to determine specific behaviors that Alfred must follow when processing jobs and files. These policies are enforced in a company wide scope and can not be overwritten.

Jobs that are currently running are not affected if the any of the policies are updated.

File Name Duplicates Policy

This section contains three settings that allow the user to specify how to handle files that share the same name. There are three available options:

Copy but keep both files.

If a duplicate file is found, the duplicate will be renamed to the following format FileName-{number}. Where number is keeps track of how many duplicates exist.

Copy and replace the file in the destination.

If a duplicate file is found. The most recent version of the item will replace the existent version. Version control will be handled in the backend of Alfred.

Ignore Duplicates

If a duplicate file is found. It will not be uploaded into Alfred and will be ignored.

Job and File Retry Limit

This sections contains settings that allow the user to limit the amount of retries that jobs and files are allowed to undergo during their processing lifecycle.

Other Settings

This section contains miscellaneous settings that allow the user to determine certain criteria to set the status of a Job to failed and specify when a file needs to be decomposed.

Job is invalid on failed file download.

If the checkbox is marked, in scenarios when Alfred must download a file from a remote source (i.e. Cloud Storage), if the download of file fails, the job will be declared as invalid and will not be able to restart.

Job is invalid when processing a file fails.

If the checkbox is marked, in scenarios when the processing of a single file fails (i.e. corrupt file( the job will be declared as invalid and will not be able to restart.

Decomposed emailed files.

If the checkbox is marked, all files received via email will be decomposed.

Supported File Extensions

This section allows the user to specify which file extensions Alfred is allowed to process. All file extensions not specified, will not be processed.

The current list of supported file extensions are:

  • DOCX

  • PNG

  • JPEG

  • PDF

  • TIFF

  • XSLX

  • ZIP
